1818 Elizabeth VanDoren

I finished this name on my Mother's Tree last weekend already, just took me this long to get it uploaded to the blog. This one is going pretty fast - I just do one name each rotation and then whatever I can finish before the end of the weekend on the next name.

I'm worked some more on Alhambra Garden this weekend, but didn't finish enough yet for another pic - probably in a week or two I'll have some more to show on that one.

In other news, Katie has taken to playing with Alex's old match box cars. Course she doesn't quite play with or use them in quite the same way. :) She put them in the shape of a star, a heart, and spelled lots of various words. At least you cannot accuse her of not having an imagination. :)

Looks great Jenn. LOVE what Katie does with the hot wheels.

LOL! I *love* the cars! And the tree is really coming along. It's going to be so nice when it is complete.

It's good for girls to play with "boy" -intended toys, no matter how they choose to play with them. Helps break down those stupid stereotypes. But I do admire her creativity. :)

Yay for the tree progress! It's coming along nicely.

I love those 'open ended' toys that don't have a prescribed way they should be played with. They allow imagination and creativity to shine. Good for Katie, she has quite an eye!

I wonder if there's any deep meaning to the fact the I is huge. lol

My son used to take all of his cars and make one huge parking lot out of the top of my coffee table, cars for as far as the eye could see...

Mother's Tree moved pretty fast for me too. Around name 3 I had the knack of it and each one was taking me about 10 hours.
